Time to MOVE Seminar
This 2 hour seminar can be held any day or evening and is designed to empower believers to reach their world with the ‘Good News’ about Jesus. The word MOVE stands for four very important words that are needed in all churches.
MOTIVATION – A passionate conviction that salvation is only found in Jesus compels us to spread the Gospel worldwide so that everyone knows about what God has done through Jesus Christ. We investigate how believers can be motivated to share God’s love in both word and action.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. John 14:6-7
OBEDIENCE – The Christian faith is under a lot of opposition and we all need to face the challenge of obeying God’s Great Commission in the midst of pressures on us from the world.
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the end of the age". Matthew 28:18-20
VISION – A clear vision of what God wants to do through his church, is not a matter of what we can do for God, but what can God do through us. Growing the Church is in fact seeking to grow the Kingdom of God. Prayer and vision go hand–in–hand. We cannot make people believe, but we can give them an opportunity to believe in Jesus. The best thing we can do for God and our friends and family is to introduce them to each other. You may be the only person in another person’s life who knows clearly who Jesus is. Time is given to building your church’s vision together as a group and individuals. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth". Acts 1:8 |
EVANGELISM – Is proclaiming the GOOD NEWS. Often we see evangelism as being the work of the pastors, evangelists, or those who have been given special gifts in ministry. The role of the evangelist is to equip people to do the work of evangelism. The Great Commission was given to ALL believers. We are all called to be witnesses for Christ and be His ambassadors in our world. We explore how each person can be equipped to do the work of evangelism. How then, can they call on the One they have not believed in? How can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? How can they hear without someone proclaiming the message to them?
